Corredor Urbano Sucre
Bolivia, 2024
Design and cartographic consultancy to connect green and blue landscapes across the Bicentenario Corridor in Sucre, applying systemic thinking and policies to weave the environmental and social networks, integrating community governance, heritage and ecology.
The creation of an ecological urban corridor that restores and integrates the urban fabric of Sucre and its surroundings is a key project. Various specific interventions—such as the Bajo Aranjuez Road Bridge, Pisco Aitana Urban Park, Bicentennial Urban Park, Q’arapanza Urban Park, and the El Tejar Former Station Museum-Park—bring the benefits of this corridor to life within their respective local contexts. Furthermore, these projects have the potential to connect and expand, thereby maximizing their overall impact.
Integrating socio-ecosystemic thinking—grounded in the relationship between environmental and social systems—plays a fundamental role in the project. This report is structured around these systems and the benefits their integration brings to the impact and enhancement of the Bicentennial Urban Corridor.
